Hi, I am Silke Blume

I focus on business development and digital innovation in the Private Markets investment space.

I am an Alternative Investment professional (MBA, CAIA) with 20+ years of international track record in matching Institutional Investors with investment opportunities throughout all major asset classes: Stocks and Bonds, Hedge Funds and Private Equity, liquid and illiquid strategies.

As an early mover and long before the recent years boom, I have specialized in Private Markets, an umbrella term which unites a range of non-standardized asset classes such as Private Equity, Real Assets, Renewal Infrastructure, Timber, Agriculture, Real Estate and Art.

Being also a passionate innovator and to tackle the challenges of investing in illiquid asset classes, I have deeply researched (MBA 2017) digital business / operating models in the Private Markets sector and developed a digital deal sourcing platform which reinvents investing in non-standardized asset classes.

Helping Private Markets asset managers and investors to increase their operational efficiency as well as re-inventing business models in Private Markets since then became my main professional interest.

After having lived and worked in Germany, the UK, Switzerland and Italy, I am now mainly based in Hamburg, Germany, from where I operate across Europe.

My philosophy for digital transformation

Business management and organisational research is increasingly concerned about how companies have to be run, in order to simultaneously push forward innovation (exploration) and optimize the already existing (exploitation). I support the proposed approach of Ambidexterity, bilateral steering: In this sense, I help companies to drive innovation without having to withdraw resources from the old business model and eventually cannibalize it too early.
